I am married, got married exactly 15 months ago, my husband - Raghu is a mechanical engineer and works with a leading construction equipment manufacturer. This is my story of how I landed up from Bangalore to Chennai to Johannesburg in less than 5 months.
We were in Bangalore, married and happy, due to various reasons, my husband was looking for a job change, and opportuinity came in as an irresistable offer from one of the most respected company in his lines of business, the catch being that the job location was Chennai, honestly for someone who has been brought up in North India and stayed in Bangalore for close to 8 years, Chennai can come across as a bit of culture shock, people speak Tamil only, they are conservative, but at the same time, women are respected, and there is an order is the seeming disarray. Anyway, we packed our bags and off we went.
I got a transfer from my Company, but the post I got came with an onsite rider, I may have to travel if required, well, didn't think of it much then as there were times in the past where I got a visa and all but didn't travel..
Long story short, landed in Chennai and was just started to enjoy when I came to know that I would have to travel.
